C&C Training Team are very proud to announce that with Singleton Associates we have been awarded LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL EARLY YEARS & CHILDCARE Paediatric First Aid contract for 2017/18.
The Dept of Health recently issued new guidelines around the use of auto injectors in schools and Early years settings allowing the use of generic auto injectors where a severe allergic reaction occurs.
How many of your staff would know how to recognise the symptoms of a minor or severe allergic reaction, when and how to react and what to do if the situation became life threatening? All staff who care for children with Anaphylaxis are entitled to receive adequate professional training under the guidelines but the strain on provision of community nurses and GP’s means this isn’t always possible.
If you would like a training session for your staff please give us a call. As a registered paediatric nurse our trainer can offer the RCN course ensuring staff receive the skills and knowledge they need. For just £25 per person, you will receive 1.5 hrs tuition, have chance to practice on all auto injectors and take away useful follow up literature to ensure you have the information and skills to hand should an emergency happen.
Remember an auto injector is a holding device so anyone who uses one must call 999 or seek emergency care as soon as possible as a secondary reaction can occur.
