This course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Local Authority approved and meets the needs of Ofsted. It is suitable for childminders, nursery and school staff (dealing with Foundation Stage) and those who require a more in-depth course. This two day (12 Hr) course is delivered either at your venue or on our open courses. Taught by two enthusiastic paediatric specialists the course includes both theory and extensive practical sessions.
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the delegate. Those delegates who complete the course, and are deemed to have reached the required standard, are awarded a certificate that is valid for 3 years. Learners must practically demonstrate the application of the correct techniques in all the First Aid areas indicated within the learning outcomes of the unit.

Basic Life Support - Adult, Child & Baby
Choking - Adult, Child & Baby
Casualty Examination - primary and secondary assessment
Control of Bleeding & Shock
Eye and Ear Injuries
Burns and Scalds
First Aid Kits
Childhood Illnesses including Meningitis and Febrile Convulsions
